Installation of main line going in at #9 tee area. Will be moving on up the fairway tomorrow.

Irrigation pipe fusion

The irrigation pipe is being delivered to the mountain and transported up to Nettles Cove Road. The fusion or connection of the main line has begun on the road behind #9 tee area. The long sections of pipe will be moved and installed on #9 sometime this week.

Mondays venting of greens

Image
We were able to complete our small venting of all 19 greens on Monday. Despite a few off and on showers the process went good. If you look at the first picture you'll see how they looked after they were cleaned up, rolled, and mowed. The greens should be back to normal in a day or so.

Venting Greens Monday

Image
Weather permitting we will be venting greens on Monday. Venting greens will be a very minimal disruption. We will pull small cores, blow them off, lightly sand, and roll. This process is usually completed in one day. This process has been done every 45-50 days during this season and will replace our large fall aeration. This approach to aeration should make most people happy as the greens will be perfect for the fall/leaf season.

Rain, again...

Image
As most know we are getting substantial rain again today. We were ready but unfortunately didn't get a lot accomplished this morning. Monday is usually when we get a lot of work completed while being closed for part of the day. Please be patient as we try to get the course in shape while working around ladies day, mens day, and Ryder Cup this week. Happy golfing.
